Glide, rotate, reflect, stack, slice - experiment with repetition to develop surfaces and make an ornate pot.

Learn how to plan and construct complex clay surfaces and how to utilise pieces and parts to make an embellished form - functional or otherwise.

Your pieces will be made using a buff or toasty coloured clay suitable for sculptural and complex work, and will be fired unglazed to stoneware.

Content:

Techniques include slab-building, extruding, blunt joints, lap joints, assembly aids (jigs and mitres), methodical practices, finishing and finessing. 

The dimensions of wet pieces are constrained to H20cmxW20cmxD20cm.

Prerequisites: none

Duration: 5 hours, plus 60 minutes for a lunch break (lunch not included).

Includes: non-refundable booking fee (2.5% of ticket value), all materials, and firing one piece per person. We provide you with clean aprons and all tools and equipment.
