This privacy notice explains what information we collect about you, how we use it and how we protect it. It also gives you information about your rights.

This notice is for anyone who buys, uses or contacts us about our products and services (such as membership and courses).

The type of personal information we collect 

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • contact details such as name, username, address, email address and phone numbers.

  • details of any contact we’ve had with you, including emails and written complaints.

  • payment details.

  • how you use and access our services.

How we get the personal information and why we have it

We collect your personal information from you when you get in touch with us:

  • by email.

  • through our websites.

  • by using our apps.

  • by using our products and services.

  • by completing a form.

  • by entering competitions.

  • through social media.

  • face to face.

Under data protection laws, we can only process your information if we have a legal reason (known as a ‘lawful ground’) for doing so. We collect the information above for one of the following reasons:

  • deliver our products and services, and ensure our services are managed fairly.

  • tailor the delivery of our products and services to your specific needs and interests.

Sometimes we need to collect your information from, or share it with other people or organisations. When we share your information, we only share the information needed, and as little of it as possible, for a specific purpose.

We have processes in place to make sure that your information is protected when we share it with third parties. If you’re sharing someone else’s personal information with us, please make sure they’ve seen this privacy notice and are comfortable with you giving us their information.

  • from other studio users in relation to conduct procedures.

  • teaching contractors.

  • you’ve given us consent to speak to a third party on your behalf, for example a family member.

  • information about you on social media.

  • debt collection agencies we engage to act on our behalf.

  • suppliers who process your personal information on our behalf. We use the following types of suppliers:

  • IT service providers: Cloud storage, communication software, back-up solutions, network security and monitoring solutions and other ‘software as a service’ providers.

  • marketing, sales and business development: market and customer research consultants, social media platforms and marketing and digital marketing consultants.

  • customer service support: outsourced support with customer communication and servicing.

We use the information that you have given us in order to:

  • deliver our products and services to you.

  • manage our relationship with you, and communicate with you.

  • manage complaints.

  • support us to run and/or manage our business.

  • gain advice on business decisions and strategy.

  • understand how our customers and business partners have reviewed or discussed us or our competitors online.

  • recover money owed to us.

  • understand our customers and market to them.

  • identify and communicate with people that might be interested in our products and services.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

  • your consent. 

  • we have a legitimate interest.

How long we keep your information for

We typically keep personal information for five years after you stop being our customer or business partner in line with our business needs. How long we keep your information depends on several factors:

  • how long you’ve been a customer with us.

  • the types of products or services you have with us.

  • and when you’ll stop being our customer.

Opting-out from marketing

You can ask us to stop sending you email marketing by using the ‘unsubscribe’ link in the message we send you.

For all other types of marketing, you can opt out (ask us not to send it) or change your preferences.

You can’t unsubscribe from service communications. These are communications we need to send you for administrative or customer service reasons.

How we store your personal information 

Your information is securely stored. 

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • your right of access - you have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 

  • your right to rectification - you have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 

  • your right to erasure - you have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. 

  • your right to restriction of processing - you have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 

  • your right to object to processing - you have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • your right to data portability - you have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
