Seconds and Samples Market
We’re opening the roller shutter and throwing up the trestle tables...
On Sunday 5th July, 10am-2pm it’s our first seconds and samples open air market.
Sunken Studio, Carlisle Road, Leeds, LS10 1LB
contactless Payments onlY.
We’ve been clearing the studio in preparation for reopening in July. There are so many pots in this place. There are clay body tests, glaze tests, prototypes and a fair few decent pots that we just can't send out without you seeing them first.
We’ll be available to answer any questions you have about courses and memberships. It’s outside... whatever the weather - the pots will be fine, it’s all about the pots (and social distancing).
We’re just behind Leeds Dock.
There will be tenmoku…
Just in case you can’t make it…
We recently set-up a Ko-fi page to help us continue working with our indie neighbours in Leeds and run special projects. Sunken Studio is a very small specialist team. We know a lot about pottery making but need a lot of help from other specialists too. We’ve been reorganising our space to make it safe to welcome you back. We’re also developing e-courses to diversify and help get more people enjoying clay... safely. When we invest we always aim to do it locally. We really do understand the importance of ‘the chain’. So we thought we’d give Ko-fi a go - just in case you’re up for the ride!
Ko-fi is a crowdfunding platform for micro projects.
Our first campaign takes place this weekend. Alongside our seconds and samples market, we’re hosting a new raffle for a Standard Ware mug in one of three colours. Throughout the weekend we’ll draw a prize winner each time we reach a £25 increment. Enter our raffle for the price of a coffee. Each coffee = 1 ticket. We’ve set a goal to green-up our rejigged space.
We’ve cleared the studio, it’s now so clear it’s a bit barren and we’d like to fill it with a few plants. They’ll act as unobtrusive distancers - and hopefully it’ll be a greener solution to screening. We want to make sure the studio is calming and safe - a happy place for you to escape.
