The Hepworth Wakefield Summer Fair


The Hepworth Wakefield’s Summer Fair returns on the 18 & 19 August with something for all the family. We’ll be there too!


Treat yourself at the craft and food market. It’ll be full of independent makers. Join in with outdoor workshops, enjoy some tasty street food, freshly brewed coffee and local ale, and watch dance, music, storytelling and pop-up performances from artists and groups based in Wakefield and the region.

Craft & Food Market
10am – 5pm, FREE
Suggested £1 donation on entry

The popular craft and food market returns with a high quality selection of items from independent makers based across Yorkshire and further afield. Expect jewellery, ceramics, print, plants, textiles, sweet treats, craft drinks and more.


Street Food Market
11am – 4pm

Take time out in the cafe tent and outdoor seating with delicious street food from FrizzaRuby’s Street KitchenHey Gringo Taqueria and Madame Crêpe.

The Hepworth Cafe will also be popping-up outside, serving cakes along with hot, cold and alcoholic drinks.

Family drop-in workshops
11am – 4pm, FREE

Create giant surreal landscapes in the garden using a range of materials and unusual objects! Drop-in at any time, no need to book.

Performance tent
11am – 4pm, FREE

A free programme of music, spoken word, dance and participatory activities from professional, community and youth acts based across the region.

The programme includes curated slots from Out-There Sounds For All the FamliyLong Division Yew Tree Youth Theatre and Hepwords – Ralph Dartford.
