Ceramics Sampler: Cup
26 May @ 18:00 - 19:30£18
Sunken Studio are out and about offering ceramics sampler sessions in press-moulding and decorative techniques.
Come and join us at Chirpy in Chapel Allerton for a spirited session making small cups. Learn how to form clay using plaster moulds and then customise your piece with impressed or carved decoration. Perfect for pens, toothbrushes, tea, coffee, candles or small plants…
This sampler is an adaptation of our Ceramics Taster: PRESS. For more information about PRESS and all of our pottery making workshops visit our Tasters, Courses and Events pages or download our menu Ceramics Tasters 2017: Dig in.
The sampler sessions that we offer at partner venues are typically 1 hour long and act as introductions for extended workshops at the studio.
- Post production costs: firings and glazing.
- Packaging. Postage is not included.
- Booking fees.
Following a sampler session your work will be transported back to Sunken Studio and fired up to two times. Finished works, fired and glazed (where needed), will be available for collection from Chirpy within 28 days after the session. If you are unable to collect we can arrange for your work to be delivered for £10 per address.
About Sunken Studio
Our aim is to host specialist, attentive and satisfying maker-led workshops that cover a range of techniques and processes. We specialise in handbuilt ceramics and custom-make most of our tools. All product development is designed and produced in-house.
We invite up to four people to join workshops at the studio. Most of our workshops are hosted at our ceramics studio in Roundhay but we also work with partner venues to accommodate larger groups and to provide short introductory sampler sessions. If you are interested in making a group booking to celebrate a special event or get-together with colleagues visit our Gift & Gather pages. Chirpy is a partner venue and we host ceramics and pottery making gatherings for up to 12 people by appointment.
