Summer Tasting Menu
We're now able to host events! Join us for our Pottery Tasting Menu, 18 August. Have a go on the Potter’s wheel, whittle spoons and make buttons. Make something by hand for the body. Sessions are 1.5 hours, 13:00-20:00, wonderfully tactile and cost £30 each. Firing services included.
Have a go on a Potter's wheel. Working 'off the hump' you will learn how to control and manipulate clay to make a series of small pots. It'll be fast, fun and filthy.
We’re partial to making a tool or two and we love making spoons. This modest utensil is reassuring and comforting: a bowl with a handle, but sculptural too. Learn how and when to carve clay and consider form and function to whittle a small but elegant clay spoon.
Button-up in our mini mark making taster. Pinch a series of forms and explore inlay, sgraffito, impressed and carved decoration to make a small collection of buttons. Big space, tiny shapes: small but mighty.
Prerequisites: none.
